His heart is never far from a rodeo arena or the ranches he once worked in Idaho, Nevada and North Dakota.  “Those are memories I’ll never forget” says Joe.  As a past PRCA permit holder in the Badlands Circuit, Joe (and his guitar) also traveled to weekend rodeos in the Dakotas, eastern Montana and Minnesota where he had a passion for riding bareback horses.

Joe says “it wasn’t just the love for riding bareback horses that attracted him to various rodeo arenas, but the camaraderie and the friendships that were developed in the sport.  It’s rodeo, ranch people and folks like them that make performing so enjoyable.

Chris Ledoux, PRCA’s 1976 World Champion Bareback Rider has always been one of Joe’s heroes.  And like Chris, Joe says he has found his attraction to the stage, performing and singing country music as a means of staying attached to the country and cowboy life which he so enjoys.

As a producer once said, “this guy is the real deal”.
